A&G Concrete Pools, Inc., is more than a corporation; and, even though we use the word "Team", it's even more than that. We are a family comprised of 70+ full time employees who share a passion for providing our customers with the best pools, service and products. Collectively, our family has amassed centuries of experience in the pool industry. Let us put this experience to work for you!
In our industry, you will find many contractors who come and go using subcontractors and the cheapest possible labor. We have taken a very different approach. Wanting to be the best, we know that we must actively recruit and hire employees who possess the greatest amount of talent and dedication to our vision, mission and values. On the front end, hiring craftsmen and specialists possessing our shared values costs us a little more, and we go even further by providing our Team with retirement and healthcare benefits; however, we have done the math to prove that delivering the best pools, products and service and avoiding costly mistakes saves us (and our customers) much more, allowing us to provide unbeatable value at the completion of the project and for the life of the pool.
Our Team is organized into several divisions to best serve our customers. The divisions and corresponding key personnel are listed below. We are all in the Customer Service Division!
We're responsible for the big picture down to the pixels that form it. We are dedicated to our Vision, Mission & Values.
Arthur H. "Art" Allen, Founder, Chairman of the Board, Licensed Pool Contractor
Born in San Diego, California, Art moved to Florida in the 1970s and went to work in a family-owned swimming pool business in 1977. He learned the business from the ground up, working every aspect of pool construction. Seeing the lack of quality workmanship and service in the industry, he founded A&G Concrete Pools, Inc., in 1987 in his garage; and from those humble beginnings, he has stayed true to his original vision and values to lead A&G from a garage-based start-up to an award-winning recognized leader in the multi-billion dollar international pool building industry. Today, Art continues to pursue his passion for building the best pools, serving customers and growing A&G by serving as Chairman of the Board.
Art is a devoted husband and family man, married to Sandee since 2001. They share five children who have all graduated college and enjoy careers of their own. He is also dedicated to his industry and his community, as highlighted by: over sixteen years of service on city and county contractor licensing boards; appointment as a board member of the 100 Club; membership in the American Legion Post #318 and Moose Lodge; and his many contributions to numerous local charities, youth sports teams, and community events. When he's not building pools, Art likes clay shooting, hunting, traveling, boating and enjoying family and friends.
Travis Leonard, CEO, Licensed Pool Contractor
Born in New Jersey, Travis' family moved to Florida in 1988, and he has called the Treasure Coast "home" for most of his life, graduating from Fort Pierce Westwood High School in 1996 and from Indian River State College, with honors, in 1998.
At a young age, Travis learned about the construction industry and how to build things right from his father, who was a master plumber and building inspector/plans examiner for the City of Port St. Lucie. As a young man, he put this training and a love for the water and pools, which he had developed through his career as a competitive swimmer, to work at A&G, when he accepted the position of designer in 2000.
Travis worked his way through the ranks at A&G, becoming a manager in 2006, a partner in 2008 and an independently licensed commercial and residential swimming pool contractor in 2009. Today, he is CEO, responsible for day to day operations and leading more than 70 full time employees. He looks forward to building on the A&G legacy by pushing the standards in pool design, construction and service to new heights.
Travis is married to his high school sweetheart, Genia, and they have two beautiful daughters. In his personal time, he has traded in his competitive swim goggles for golf, softball and clay shooting.
Tracey McGhee, Executive Assistant
Tracey is at the heart of helping Art, Travis and A&G be at their best, and it should come as no surprise that she has construction in her blood. Growing up, her family moved around following her Dad's career building bridges and shopping centers. Later, she helped her brothers and Dad operate a home construction business in South Carolina.
Tracey joined A&G Concrete Pools in 1995 and loves her job, where she takes pride in helping to ensure that all of the divisions come together as one to deliver the best, and she would say "beautiful", pools and service.
Patti Giunta, Office Manager
Patti helps to keep the back of house humming and all of the beans counted. She joined A&G Concrete Pools in 2002 after working in banking for more than 13 years.
Patti hails from Connecticut and is working on two decades of marriage to her husband, Greg. They are proud of their two children and blessed by their wonderful grandchildren.
Shelley Garcia, Receptionist
Shelley is usually the first smiling face or warm voice that visitors and callers encounter when contacting A&G. As she will tell you, prior to joining A&G, the only experience she had in the pool industry was swimming in them, but boy has she learned a lot! Her favorite part of her work is: "Speaking with the customers and welcoming them into our family."
Shelley has four children, who all live in New York, and just recently became a grandmother to Gabriela. She loves living in Port St. Lucie and, when not at A&G headquarters, loves reading and spending quality time with her husband. They are both proud to be members of the Lake Forest Relay for Life Team.
We help you turn ideas into a plan for paradise.
Frank DelRocco, Designer
Frank has been at A&G for 21 years and in the pool industry for over 25. He received his Certified Pool Operators license in 1992. He has won numerous state and national awards for his residential and commercial pool and spa designs. He specializes in contractor and commercial accounts, but never lost his love for residential designs. He believes in building strong relationships with his clients and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
Frank attended Virginia Tech and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1982. He is married to Michelle, a golf professional, and they live in Stuart, where they enjoy golfing together as much as possible.
Jason Baran, Designer
Jason is a native Floridian, born in Stuart. He graduated from Northwood University in West Palm Beach in 2002 with a dual Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Business Management. Before joining the A&G team, Jason owned and operated several businesses including Prowash Pressure Cleaning, a Snap-On Tool franchise and Franchise Seeker Inc., a consulting company. Since joining A&G in 2010, he has been focused on only one professional mission—helping you create the backyard of your dreams; and he truly enjoys being invited into customers' homes and working together to create an oasis.
In his free time, Jason likes to travel with his wife, Grace, and their daughter, Charlotte.
Bobby Austin, Designer
Bobby was born in New Jersey, and his family moved to Port St. Lucie in 1987. He graduated from Fort Pierce Central in 1998 and from Indian River State College in 2002. Early in his professional career Bobby became a licensed realtor and gained construction experience by working for the largest new homebuilder in Port St. Lucie, at a time when the City was the fastest growing community in the United States.
Bobby joined A&G in 2014 as a designer and specializes in residential pools. Married in 2007 to his best friend, Jolaine, they were blessed with their first child, Aubrey, in 2013 and now have a second child on the way.
We transform construction plans into the best pools that can be built at a value that can't be matched.
Dan Wuycheck, Construction Supervisor
We would never want to stereotype "Danny"; but, if the dictionary had a listing for “good builder”, his photograph would probably be there. He has been involved in construction for 40 years, going all the way back to his years at college and carpentry school, and his experience includes carpentry, concrete & framing, homebuilding, high-rise construction and, of course, pools.
Danny joined A&G more than 25 years ago; and, today, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction, where he holds the team accountable to the highest standards and results.
Danny grew up an Air Force brat, living in Texas, Georgia, California and Pennsylvania. He discovered Florida close to 1980, making it his home with wife, Beth. They are very proud of their two children, who both graduated from FSU.
Chip Brova, Field Supervisor
Chip started building swimming pools on the Treasure Coast in 1981 and, like several members of the A&G Family, has been involved in every aspect of pool construction. He takes great pride in the supervision and training of new employees and quality control, which is not a surprise given that: “It has been my life's passion for the past 30 years to build high quality swimming pools and I am grateful for the opportunity to carry out this passion as part of the A&G Family.”
Chip has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 27 years, and they are both graduates of John Carroll Catholic High School in Fort Pierce.
Fara Hernandez, Construction Secretary
Fara utilizes her past administrative experience with construction companies to carry out several important tasks for A&G, like getting that pool permit through the city or county approval process. A native Floridian, Fara lives and enjoys spending time with her daughter.
We ensure that the best pool that can be built stays the best for as long as you have it.
Jonathan Hoyt, Service Manager
Jonathan began working in the pool industry in 1994 at the age of 16, forming steel. He joined A&G in 1997, starting with clean outs & acid washes and then working his way through the Service Department, which he now leads. As Service Manager, he is dedicated to ensuring that customers receive the best care and highest function from their pools and equipment.
Born in Vero Beach and raised in Fort Pierce, Jonathan is married with three beautiful daughters and is the guardian of four nieces and one nephew. He enjoys that big family and especially watching his girls compete at softball and volleyball.
Lillian Shepherd, Service Coordinator
Born in Corpus Christie, Texas, and raised right here in Fort Pierce, Lillian earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. She began her professional career by working in South Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama for Circuit City Stores, Inc., serving in several capacities, including Customer Service Manager, Sales Manager and Assistant Store Director.
Lillian joined A&G more than 12 years ago and is responsible for coordinating all service repair and warranty work.
